No. Our Changed Block Tracking (CBT) engine monitors sector changes at the filesystem driver or hypervisor level without traversing file directories. Because only changed blocks are read and transferred, backup windows shrink from hours to seconds, and production CPU and disk I/O overhead remains below 2%. For live databases, transaction buffers are flushed instantaneously via VSS or native database APIs with zero lockups.

Backup repositories are decoupled from standard operating system network shares (SMB/NFS) and written to an air-gapped Ceph object storage cluster configured with S3 Object Lock (WORM - Write Once, Read Many). Once written, retention policies are enforced at the hardware storage layer.
